President Trump is not a stranger to sharing his views on sports when he disagrees with someone. Recently, Trump has spoken out on Steph Curry, Lebron James, and Jemele Hill.

On Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, Hill tweeted about The Dallas Cowboys. In Hill’s tweets, she talked about how the coach threatened the players by telling them they would not be able to play if they participated in the protest. Hill also shared that she believed it would cause a dispute within the black community.

"Jerry Jones also has created a problem for his players, specifically the black ones. If they don't kneel, some will see them as sellouts." Hill stated

President Trump tweeted in support of the Dallas Cowboys’ Coach. “A big salute to Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who will BENCH players who disrespect our Flag. 'Stand for Anthem or sit for game!”

There are many people saying that Hill should just stick to sports and not make the show political. There are also people who believe speaking on what is going on in America is a part of Hill’s First Amendment right.

On Monday, ESPN released a statement about the actions they were going to take regarding Hill’s tweets. “Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines… all employees were reminded of how individual tweets may reflects negatively on ESPN and that such actions would have consequences. Hence this decision.” Hill is being paid during this suspension.
